Description
|
Fragment. Likely written to Martha Coffin Wright. Likely written from Roadside. Lucretia Mott shares news and discusses recent involving family and friends. She describes Maria going to reading and prayer meetings with a friend and writes that she was not converted. She writes, "How sensible people, with a grain of Quaker education can thus go back to the 'weak and beggarly elements' is astonishing - it is the result of the Orthodox training after our 'split."
