Written from Roadside. Maria Davis discusses attending Philadelphia Yearly Meeting with their mother Lucretia Mott. She says, "The whole meeting seemed to resolve itself into a temperance convention," and writes extensively about the topics addressed in regards to temperance and about a few other occurrences. She writes of Lucretia Mott's improved health and their intention to visit William Morris Davis and his wife Ellen, and about their desire to have Martha Lord accompany them on the visit.
